The OLED VU from the xmos displays as 'DSD256' if file is DSD256, 'DSD64' if file is DSD64 and so on. Results: No music playback at all, sounds a few crack and pop noises every ~20 seconds interval. Should be show as DSD64 since the file is 2.82MHz DSD? Same happens with a DSD256 file, there is noise and VU meter shows as 'PCM 768kHz'. The OLED VU from the xmos displays as 'PCM 352.8kHz'. Some config I attempted during DSD playback, Other PCM files like aiff, wav, flac, mp3 and even spotify sounds perfect. This is t SMSL M500 MQA Decoder Headphone AMP ES9038PRO ES9311 XMOS. The music does not sound distorted, it just has this noise added in the background. Also have the line output, optical signal output and Headset amplifying output. After various tests with the recent DAC kit I bought, the AK4490EQ and the XMOS XU216 (768kHz), the only issue I found so far, it gets white noise during DSD playback.
